On August 11th and 12th, over 700 teachers in Catoosa County Public Schools participated in a technology driven instructional fair to learn strategies for engaging students using technology.

Superintendent Denia Reese said, “As we advance further into the 21st century, technology is becoming more and more integrated into our society. To prepare our students for a technology-driven world, we must integrate technology into the classroom. Our instructional fair was focused on teaching teachers to use technology daily to support existing practices.”

All Catoosa County classrooms are equipped with 21st century technology. Mrs. Reese said, “While we have 21st century classrooms, we must create 21st century learners. The goal of the instructional fair was to teach our teachers to develop technology-supported lessons and to use multiple technology tools during the day to transform the learning environment.”

She added, “Thanks to Dr. Ingrid Jones, our Office of School Improvement, Steve Sawyer, and our Technology Department, I thought the day was very successful and our teachers agreed #ccpsif15.”
