The week of October 24th was Red Ribbon Week at Ringgold Elementary. Teachers emphasized healthy living habits throughout the week by encouraging children to theme dress. For instance, on Monday, students and staff were encourage to be a "STAR" and dress like a favorite movie or book character. On Tuesday, everyone was encouraged to be "ORIGINAL" and dress as a tacky tourist. Wednesday was a wild day of western fun as all dressed to show that they were "BRAVE". Then, Thursday, it was as if there had been a time warp because students and staff alike dressed to be "TIMELESS" in a favorite decade outfit. Friday’s theme focused on encouraging students to get out and exercise; so everyone wore favorite team colors. What a fun week for all as children learned the importance of making positive choices to ensure a bright future! Healthy habits are happening’ at RES!
