Catoosa County Teacher of the Year

Dee Dee Parscale, First Grade Teacher

Tiger Creek Elementary School

Dee Dee Parscale was chosen as Catoosa County Public Schools County Teacher of the Year. At the school level, teachers of the year are chosen for their character, leadership, and dedication to their students. Being selected teacher of the year among their peers in their school is an honor. To have their application selected as Catoosa County’s Best of the Best is a tribute to a teacher’s effort and dedication to their students.

Mrs. Parscale’s application was selected because she is totally dedicated to her students. She believes, “teaching is more than making a difference, teaching is making an investment.” She focuses on building relationships with students to create a positive learning environment. Her goal is to teach children to be problem solvers. She uses STEM activities to create meaningful and engaging learning opportunities to accomplish this goal. Mrs. Parscale has a great knowledge of the curriculum and teaching strategies. Her principal, Mr. Beard, says she is the “go-to” person at Tiger Creek Elementary because she is so knowledgeable, and she always has time to share her expertise.

Congratulations Dee Dee Parscale! The Catoosa County Board of Education appreciates your efforts to go “above and beyond” to be selected as the Catoosa County Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
