February 2 through 6 was a week of celebration for the Renaissance Program and its members.  The week had a sports theme with different activities for each day, ending with an assembly on Friday that was a sports extravaganza!  Students and teachers competed in some age old sporting events with a few twists.  Lay-ups in wigs and high heels, dizzy bat races in baseball uniforms, adults racing on tricycles, a sumo-suit obstacle course, and a dance contest that featured only a few legitimate dancers.  Both faculty and students walked away with prizes and recognition for things they had achieved throughout the year.  It was one Renaissance week that was a GRAND SLAM!!
