The LMS teacher of the year is Mr. Steve
Smith. Mr. Smith is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High
School, and Middle Tennessee State University. He has a Bachelor's
Degree in Electronic Media Journalism and received his teaching
certification through the Regional Educational Service Agency and TAPP
(Teacher Alternative Preparation Program). This is his third year
teaching. Mr. Smith projects enthusiasm and interest in his work
and in his students. This is his first year serving as junior
varsity coach on LMS's football staff.
Mr. Smith is married to Mary Smith. They have no children, but do have a pet Shih Tzu named Verdell. In his spare time Mr. Smith enjoys watching sports, spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises.
