
Catoosa County Public Schools is proud to announce that Ringgold High School and Heritage High School have been recognized as 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools by the Georgia Department of Education. These prestigious designations highlight the district’s ongoing commitment to offering rigorous academic opportunities that prepare students for college and career success.
Catoosa County schools were recognized in the following categories:
AP Expansion School: Ringgold High School was honored for its efforts to expand AP access to a broader range of students. AP Expansion Schools have a 25% growth in AP participation from the previous year and a minimum of 25 students testing.
AP STEM Schools: Heritage High School and Ringgold High School were recognized for offering and administering AP courses in at least four of the following STEM subjects: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, and AP Computer Science.
AP STEM Achievement Schools: Heritage High School and Ringgold High School were further honored as AP STEM Achievement Schools for not only offering multiple STEM courses but also having at least 50% of those exam scores earn a 3 or higher.
