Catoosa County Public Schools is committed to balancing the use of educational technology with other effective teaching methods.
According to guidance from the United States Department of Education, "While excessive recreational screen use has raised important concerns that deserve attention, education technology can strengthen teaching, deepen learning, and expand education opportunity when aligned with clear instructional goals and implemented effectively."
Every educational technology product implemented should be able to satisfy five straightforward questions:
1. What learning problem does it solve?
2. When should it be used?
3. For whom should it be used?
4. For how long should it be used?
5. What evidence demonstrates that it improves student learning?
